Small animals

The small members of the family deserve more than an afterthought.

Hay, pellets, hideouts, and enrichment for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets and birds. Petros runs this range out of Cholargos — it is the largest north of the centre.

Hay first. Everything else second.

We turn the hay stock over roughly every three weeks at both shops. A rabbit that will not eat its hay is a rabbit with a dental appointment coming.

From a customer

The only pet shop in Athens that takes rabbits seriously.

I keep two Holland Lop rabbits, Olive and Pita, and the small-animal aisle in most pet shops is an afterthought. Not at PawShop. The Oxbow timothy hay is genuinely fresh, and the wooden hideouts are kiln-dried — I asked. Eleni’s article on rabbit dental health on the journal saved me a vet bill last spring.
