Location & hours
Both shops are dog-friendly — water bowls at the door, treats at the till. The Exarchia flagship has the grooming room. The Cholargos store has the largest small-animal range north of the centre.
Eleni's pick of the week
Green-lipped mussel and glucosamine, and the first thing Eleni reaches for with any dog over six. One chew per 10 kg of body weight, daily. She gives them to Loukanikos, which is the only endorsement on this shelf that means anything.
Inside the shop
Ninety square metres, a grooming room in the basement, and a water bowl by the door that gets refilled more often than the till gets opened. Eleni is usually behind the counter, Andreas is usually up a ladder, and Loukanikos is usually asleep in the doorway.
Both shops are dog-friendly and neither of us minds if you come in to ask a question and leave without buying anything.
